Recycling Exchange

The Hanover Recycling Exchange has the purpose of finding new homes for items you no long have a use for but are still in working order.

This saves having to take items to the dump and further add to land fill and waste disposal issues. It also provides a first port of call for items you may need and is an opportunity to meet your neighbours whilst helping the environment.

For the Recycling Exchange to work well it is necessary for all users to read and agree to the following 'conditions of use'. Instances where these conditions are found to have been violated could lead to a household being banned from using this facility.

Conditions of Use:

1. All items placed on the exchange must be clean and free from dirt.

2.All items are in working order and are not broken.

3.Once the item is exchanged the 'giver' has no more responsibility for the maintenance of the item or anything to do with the item. Also items cannot be claimed back after they have been exchanged.

4.'Receivers'are fully responsible for the condition of an item and any injury or accident caused by an item and there can be no come back on the 'giver' of the item once it has been exchanged.

5.Unless otherwise arranged the 'receiver' collects the item and at a time convienient to the 'giver'.

6.Any exchange is solely made between the 'giver' and 'receiver' of any item and The Hanover Directory or www.hanoverdirectory.co.uk has no responsibility in terms of any agreement made or in resolving any disputes. This responsibilty is solely with the two parties making the agreement.

7.Users should delete items once they are given to someone else. This is easy to do and keeps the recycling Exchange up to date.

8.This is a free recycling exchange and no items can be placed for sale.

I agree with the above conditions of use.
